Travelling to Ischia?
Getting there, accommodation and our Ischia guide
Iconic Ischia
Torre dell’Aquila is perched high above San Francesco Bay with panoramic views to the town of Forio di Ischia. The villa is very private, located off the beaten track, yet within easy reach of Ischia’s bustling and vibrant capital.
Getting there
Ischia is situated 30 kilometres off the coast of Naples. You’ll arrive to the island by ferry, hydrofoil or private boat. Please let us know if you wish to book a private boat and we’ll organise this for you.
Hydrofoil and Ferry from Naples
Catch the Alilauro hydrofoil from Naples harbour (Napoli Beverello) to arrive at Forio d’Ischia, the nearest harbour to Torre dell’Aquila. It’s also possible to catch a ferry to the ports of Casamicciola and Ischia town. Find all ferry and hydrofoil connections and timetables from the mainland to Ischia on Traghetti-ischia.info.
Ferry from Amalfi
From mid-June to mid-September you can also take a hydrofoil from the Costa Amalfitano ports of Amalfi, Positano and Salerno with the same operator, Alilauro.
Arriving by car to the villa
No matter which Ischia harbour you arrive at, Torre dell’Aquila is just a 10-20 minute drive away. Our hostess on site will pick you up and take you up to the villa and also pre-book a car rental for the duration of your stay. Please request details on booking the accommodation.
