Travelling to Pantelleria?

Getting there, accommodation and our Pantelleria guide

Enchanting Pantelleria

Visitors to Pantelleria can bathe in the natural hot springs and sip the deliciously sweet Zibibbo wine under the incredible deep blue starry nights. Corte Pantesca I and II are located two kilometres inland, on the sunset side of Pantelleria. Equidistant between the villages of Scauri and Pantelleria town.

Getting there

Lying south of the western-most tip of Sicily, Pantelleria is closer to Tunisia and the African continent, than to the Italian mainland. You can reach the island by plane or ferry.

Fly or Ferry
During the summer months there are direct domestic flights to Pantelleria on Volotea from Bergamo (near Milan), Genoa, Turin, Venice and Verona. Alitalia offers flights from Milano Linate and Roma Fiumicino (flying only Saturday and Sunday). Other airline companies may add connection flights to Pantelleria. Check flights search engines to find the best travel solution for you.

Alternatively guests can fly into Sicily – Catania, Palermo or Trapani airports – and catch a direct flight to Pantelleria on DAT (Danish Air Transport).

The alternative is to fly into Palermo or Trapani airports on the island of Sicily and catch the ferry or hydrofoil from the western Sicilian port of Trapani. There are daily ferry and hydrofoil connections to Pantelleria.

Many international airline companies fly into both Palermo and Trapani airports, including EasyJet, British Airways, Iberia and Lufthansa, amongst others. Check your departure location for information on airlines flying to Sicily.
We highly recommend hiring a car when staying on Pantelleria. Although the island is small, a car is essential to explore the island in comfort. Book your hire car on Pantelleria in advance on AutoEurope or through local car hire company, Policardo.
